"Remembering Amir Khan (1912-1974)"

After the overwhelming success of the programme on Etawah Gharana ("The Great Masters of Etawah") ... we (Amlanda and me) did a presentation on the great vocalist Ustad Amir Khan at the Vivekananda Hall, Rama Krishna Mission Institute of Culture. This was also a success.

WOW!! great play-list... the Bihag is out of this world ... great selection ... but how can we listen to these??

Thanks for the Bihag! Its wonderful...I would LOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE to hear the Suha Sugrai as I am sure it has been very influential on how Etawah sitarists play it.

is the rajab ali khan recording one of those that were published by AIR in the 70s? if not it would be wonderful if you could make it available to subscribers of your website.

also mention must be made of amanat khan, rajab ali's nephew who was a powerful influence on amir khan when they were both very young. perhaps this was mentioned during the presentation.
